Harlem Valley Rail Trail

This a very scenic rail trail through the North East part of Dutchess County. They recently opened another 2.6 mile stretch from the Wassaic Train Station to Amenia. So now you can ride 10.5 miles from Wassaic to Millerton. It's a great place to ride with the kids or just a leisurely ride with a friend.

Just take route 44 east to Ameina, make a Right at the light and the Train Station will be on the Left or go straight through and make the first Right (Mechanic Street) the parking lot is at the end of the street.

Dutchess County Rail Trail

The Dutchess County Rail Trail is now complete. Everyone can now enjoy a traffic free ride or walk from Hopewell Junction to New Paltz. The paved trail meanders through rural areas of several towns in Dutchess County then over the Walkway to Ulster County. This is almost 20 miles very scenic and level riding which the whole family can enjoy. There are several parking areas that have easy access to the trail.
